Born in New York in 1969, Doug received his Bachelor of Bible degree with a music minor from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida, in 1993. Doug is in the process of completing a Master's Degree in Worship Studies from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Doug has ministered in the area of music in churches in Kentucky, Michigan, and Texas.

Doug has served as Minister of Music & Worship at Belmont since 2005. He and Senior Pastor Nolan Jackson utilize a team approach designed to develop a strong church of dynamic, committed Christians. As Pastor Jackson models God’s Word through preaching and pastoring, Doug challenges the people of Belmont to experience the presence of God through praise and worship both corporately and privately.

With Pastor Jackson's leadership, the Belmont Music & Worship Ministry has been known to continue to bless our community with Christmas and Easter events along with several recorded albums made from our Voices of Praise choir. Doug and the VOP choir produced our latest CD entitled "The Cross Said it All" this past fall.

Doug has been married to Stacy Carol Center since 1992. They have 4 children: Hannah Elizabeth, Douglas Mark, Micah Spicer, and Abigail Rose. Stacy holds a Bachelor of Art's degree in English with a Bible Minor from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida. She has taught English and Piano in Christian Schools in Kentucky, Michigan, and Texas as well.
