Faith-Promise
Faith-Promise is the special missions offering that Belmont Baptist
Church uses to fund its missions ministry involvement. It is not
another offering for the local church; it is a gift given to the
Lord through the local church for the work outside of the local
church. Faith-Promise giving is a financial gift over and beyond the
tithe, of which 100% is used to spread the gospel around the world.
Career Missionaries
Belmont Baptist has seen many of its members leave a comfortable
environment, a secure paycheck, and a caring church family to serve
the Lord through His calling to share His love with the entire
world. Career missionary service is a tremendous sacrifice that
carries a tremendous blessing. Our Faith-Promise Missionaries are
career missionaries serving through approved sending agencies. Many
are church members that have been called out of our congregation to
serve.
Short-term Missions
Each year members of Belmont Baptist Church get involved in missions
in a personal way by participating on a short-term mission team.
These teams minister in a variety of ways; leadership training,
children’s ministry, evangelistic outreaches, literature
distribution, construction, youth ministry, music ministry, and
sports evangelism are some ways these teams minister.
Missionary Adoption Program
Adopting a Belmont Baptist Church Faith Promise Missionary is one
way you can get involved in God’s mission all around the world.
Missionary adoption is crucial to the support of the many
missionaries that serve the Lord so faithfully. The World Missions
Ministry asks that you commit to regular prayer, regular
communications, and to occasionally send care packages to your
missionary. This helps us fulfill our responsibility to care for our
missionaries not only financially but prayerfully as well.
Missionaries can be adopted by individuals or a Sunday Morning Bible
Study Class.
Local Missions
Belmont Baptist Church is dedicated to ministering to the needs of
others in our own community as well. Our food bank, rescue mission,
church planting, inner city work, block parties, and ministering to
the homeless are a few of the ways we minister locally.
